Top 4 Things to Think About When Naming a Puppy

Congratulations, welcoming a puppy or new dog into your life is a wonderful experience.  We wanted to share some things to think about when choosing a new name for your dog:

1. Practice shouting it
   • Is it a name you’d want to be heard yelling from across the park?
2. Will everyone in your household be comfortable with it (i.e. Princess might not go down well with everyone)?
3. Is it offensive (i.e. maybe save the name “Killer” for a pet fish instead)?
4. Think about the sort of mood/tone which fits you and the breed of your puppy
   • We knew a “Mr. Barker,” whose name still makes us laugh to other prestigious names, such as “Princeton”
